The Players' Pick 5 Pot O' Gold contest will run for five consecutive weeks from December 26 through January 24, with January 31 reserved for any and all carryovers. Each week will feature a new contest with a $5,000 prize to be awarded every Sunday. Contest play is divided into Qualifying and Final rounds with the Final round for each contest being held on Sunday. The objective is to cash a winning ticket in the Players' Pick 5 twice during the same race week, once between Wednesday and Saturday, and again on Sunday.

Qualifying Rounds (Wednesday/Thursday - Saturday): Players may qualify for Sunday's Final round by cashing a winning ticket in the Players' Pick 5 on any Wednesday (12/30 only), Thursday, Friday or Saturday card at Santa Anita. The holiday Monday card on January 18 will count as a Qualifying Round for the Final Round on Sunday, January 24.

Players may attempt to qualify as many times during the race week as they like, but may only qualify for Sunday's Final round once per week. All qualifiers for the Final round will be listed on the Winners page prior to post time for Sunday's Players' Pick 5.

Final Round (Sunday): All players who qualified during the same race week (Monday - Saturday), may play for the $5,000 Pot O' Gold prize on Sunday. If any qualifying player cashes a winning ticket in the Players' Pick 5 on Sunday, s/he will win or split $5,000 with all other qualified winners.

All winners of the $5,000 Pot O' Gold prize will be listed on the Winners page by the following Monday. Prizes will be credited to the account(s) of the winner(s) on or before the following Tuesday.

Players may earn only one (1) share of the Pot O' Gold prize regardless of the number of winning Pick 5 tickets cashed during the week or on Sunday.

Carryovers: In the event no qualified player cashes a winning ticket in Sunday's Players' Pick 5, the entire $5,000 prize will be carried over and added to Sunday, January 31. On Sunday, January 31 only, there will be a mandatory payout of any carryovers accumulated from December 27 through January 24. In the event no qualified players cash a winning ticket in the Players' Pick 5 on Sunday, January 31, the Pot O' Gold prize will be awarded equally between all TwinSpires players who cashed a winning ticket in the Players' Pick 5 from January 28 through January 30.

The Players' Pick 5 Pot O' Gold Schedule is listed below. The Players' Pick 5 is held over races 1-5 on every live card at Santa Anita and may be played for the base value of 50 cents.
